WP1 Data Rescue (DARE)
Improve the instrumental database in the region through structured DARE activities (rescuing paper format data to digital).

- Task 1.1: Data inventory and gap analysis.
- Task 1.2: Preservation and digitization using OCR/AI techniques.
- Task 1.3: Series composition, raw databases, and metadata.
WP2 Quality Control and Homogenization
Ensure technical quality and temporal consistency of compiled series through software development (INQC) and statistical methodologies.

- Task 2.1: Quality control by adapting INQC.
- Task 2.2: Homogenization and evaluation of uncertainties.
- Task 2.3: Final evaluation and homogenization of the complete dataset.
WP3 Definition of Climate Indices and Products
Definition, analysis, and communication. Generate 138 indices focused on GFCS and transform analysis into usable products (crop calendars, drought indicators).

- Task 3.1: Co-creation of indices with stakeholders (water, agronomy sectors).
- Task 3.2: Computation and analysis of evolution against global patterns (ENSO).
- Task 3.3: Creation and communication of products to end-users (web service).
WP4 Comparison with Spatial Datasets
Validate the reliability and accuracy of widely used gridded datasets (ERA5, CHIRPS) in the West African region.

- Task 4.1: Extraction and computation of gridded data.
- Task 4.2: Intercomparison of the interpolated dataset against referential observational stations in the project.
WP5 Capacity Building
Train scientific personnel in Benin, Niger, and Togo. Provide sustainable resources to ensure climate results are sustained in the long term.

- Task 5.2: Introductory workshops and local development for NMHSs.
- Task 5.3: Creation and maintenance of a training repository with MOOCs.
WP6 Management and Dissemination
Ensure correct implementation of the initiative and coordinate communication activities between direct stakeholders, institutions, and the general public.
